Is Nutrition Consulting right for me?

If you're looking to improve your nutrition health, I invite you to schedule a session with us to explore how nutrition consulting can benefit you. Do you accept insurance? What forms of payment do you accept? 

We are credentialed with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Massachusetts   &   Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. If you have an insurance carrier not listed, we can provide you a Superbill, which may enable you to receive full or partial reimbursement. If there is a co-pay for your plan or you are paying out-of-pocket, we accept all major credit cards and can provide you an invoice, payable online.

What will my insurance cover?

It is best to call your insurance carrier and inquire about your coverage. You may also speak to one of our professionals who can contact your insurance company on your behalf and verify your insurance coverage for our services.

How long are sessions? How frequently will I need to be seen?

The Initial Assessment typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes. Follow-up sessions run between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the needs of the client. Clients start off on a weekly basis and then increase or decrease the frequency of appointments, overtime.

Can I combine Fitness + Nutrition services?

Yes! services can be combined; we've created package deals that are discounted when combined.

Where will my session be?

Dietitian / Nutrition sessions are available In-person at our Randolph Ma, location: (500 N Main Street, Unit D, Suite 202) or via Telehealth. 

 

What is the difference between a Dietitian Vs. a Nutritionist?

A registered dietitian (RD), often referred to as a dietitian or a registered dietitian nutritionist, is a nationally recognized, board-certified food and nutrition expert. The RD credential indicates that the individual has obtained a degree in nutrition from an accredited university, completed a 1200-hour dietetic internship in a medical facility, passed a national exam by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and is in good-standing by completing continuing education. In some States, there is a secondary license to practice conferred by the state board of professional accreditation. For Massachusetts, the license designation is, a "Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN)."

Nutritionists typically work with individuals or populations to teach them more about general nutrition, food and health. However, Nutritionist are limited in what they can do in many states. Nutritionists usually cannot provide medical nutritional counseling, diagnose, treat illnesses and more. 

 

In contrast, a registered dietitian is a credentialed professional who is licensed  and can provide medical nutrition therapy and counseling, to treat an illness.
